In this course you gain advanced skills to assist in designing, implementing and evaluating learning programs for children. You will learn how to supervise staff and volunteers and implement approved learning frameworks within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards. The course covers theory and practice, programming and management, work health and safety, professional practice, routines, development, recording observations, analysing information gathered and planning for children.

The college offers two Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care courses, with the client group for these qualifications being identified through industry consultation.

Our Upskilling course is suitable for those already working as Early Childhood Educators who want to up-skill their current qualifications and have previously gained a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113).

Our Entry Level course is suitable for those with no previous experience/qualifications wishing to enter the early childhood industry, existing early childhood industry employees with no industry qualification or those who hold a partial Early Childhood Education and Care qualification (Certificate or Diploma level) and wish to upgrade their qualification.
