Learning in the early years lays the foundation for development and learning to set children on the path for school, work and life.  Our 4 Year Old programs are funded by the Department of Education & Childhood Development (DEECD).  The Victorian Government provides funding to allow eligible children to access a Kindergarten Program who turn 4 before 30^th April in the year prior to starting school. Children can commence school if they are 5 years old on or before April 30^th of that year.

Our Qualified Kindergarten Teachers develop a program that focuses on the individual child.  Encouraging them in active learning and social involvement, creative play opportunities, and peer group activities, to ensure they are assisted to succeed at their own pace.

An Enrolment Forms needs to be completed prior to the child’s first day of attendance, and at the beginning of every year to ensure information is current. 

Your child will not be able to attend the children’s service until the Enrolment Form is completed.

How do we provide a quality Kindergarten service to communities & families?

Our kindergarten services adapt to meet individual communities 3 - 4 year old program requirements.
Our two centre based, purpose built Kindergartens at Chiltern and Kiewa Valley, hold separate 3 & 4 year old programs on different days, with after kinder care being made available to the community after the 4 year old program.

Our mobile kindergarten services are offered at community halls, as a pack away mobile service, and offer their 3 & 4 year old programs as a consolidated group.
