How can I enrol into a nationally accredited course at AWCC?

  • Read through the information booklet for your selected course – available under the Accredited Training section of this website.
  • Download and complete the Student Application form located at the back of the course information booklet

  • Contact Reception on 02 6043 8200 to arrange a pre-training review with the Department Coordinator. At this interview you will be asked a number of questions to ascertain your current competencies, career goals and preferred learning strategies. The Department Coordinator will use this information to determine if you should undertake a supervised Language Literacy Numeracy (LLN) skill level assessment at the time of the interview. The results of the LLN test and the information gathered at interview will determine which is the most suitable training program for you.

  • See the course information booklet for details of documents to bring to your pre-training review.

  • At the pre-training review you will receive a Statement of Fees providing you with a quote for the costs associated with the course based on your eligibility category [Fee for Service, Skills First (Vic) or Smart and Skilled (NSW) eligible or Concession]. This training is delivered with Victorian or New South Wales and Commonwealth Government funding to eligible individuals. To claim funding you must first meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Upon receiving an acceptance letter from the Department Coordinator, your enrolment will be finalised by paying the deposit as outlined in both the Course Information Booklet and the college's Terms and Conditions within the Student Handbook.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
- The process of recognising skills and knowledge already gained through a combination of formal and informal training and education, work experience or general life experience.

If you think you may be eligible to apply for RPL please discuss this with the Department Coordinator at your pre-training review or as soon as possible prior to course commencement.

Credit Transfer - Nationally recognised Units of Competency and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations, are recognised by AWCC. This enables individuals to receive national recognition of their achievements. In order to apply for a credit transfer the student should speak with the Department Coordinator at the pre-training review. The student needs to provide original documents to verify previously successfully completed units of competency.
